Azúcar Negra's tenor saxophonist is a great player and also one of the friendliest most easy-going members of the Havana timba scene. His girlfriend, Mónica Mesa, is also a timba musician, previously with with NG La Banda now she is a solo artist. Rumor has it that El Gallo is now with a rock group.
